What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Business Analyst (Release Train) you will undertake the coordination lead for business analysis aligned to an Agile Release Train. Working closely with the Release Train Engineer, you will have responsibility for supporting the approach, other SBAs and BAs within the teams inside the release train and supporting critical assessment of activity and helping to shape and create the train level backlog alongside the Product Manager

A core part of the role will be to work closely with all other train level roles to ensure the clarity of and alignment to delivery and maintenance of features aligned to corporate strategy and committed outcomes as set through increment planning activity. The role requires significant interaction with business stakeholders and third parties to help ensure customer and value-based outcomes are captured in the release train backlog of work.

You will support the product strategy and road-map, with the ability to translate the stakeholder's vision of the product into the business needs and communicate it to the team members to make them understand the expectations

Working with all teams within the train, helping embed BAs and SBAs by ensuring their work is aligned to the train level objectives and the analysis work contributing to the team back logs is of sufficient quality to enable teams to develop effectively and commit to goals.

You will also support the Practice in the continuous improvement of Business Analysis within the product model at the Society, helping ensure that the Practice is leading the way in collaborative, effective, straightforward and high-quality Business Analysis.

You'll lead the feasibility and shaping of activities and features on the Release Train backlog and play a key role in keeping the product backlog prioritised and refined to plan the subsequent iterations and tasks for the next program increment.

You'll excel at being a people developer and coach - demonstrable experience of building and developing high performing teams.

And You Will Have Strong understanding of principles, theories, practices associated with Agile methodologies. Demonstrable experience in an agile / scrum environment with an appreciation for working within a scaled environment. Experience in Design Thinking and eliciting business outcomes and converting them to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria. Extensive process improvement experience, including experience that leverages technology as part of the solution. Solid experience with process redesign methods (such as business process re- engineering or Six Sigma). Knowledge of relevant business process standards (for example, Business Process Modelling Notation) and other business process analysis tools and methodologies. Demonstrable experience of identifying and resolving team impediments. Demonstrable experience of championing agility and agile principles both upwards and into the wider business and through into their Agile Release Train. Advocacy for career paths and identifying development opportunities for members of your team; an ability to incubate and grow the talent pool. About The Company
