We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data and Search team at the Parliamentary Digital Service (PDS).

Parliament is currently going through an exciting period of digital transformation to deliver excellent digital services. The Parliamentary Digital Service (PDS) works with the House of Commons, the House of Lords, as well as Parliament staff on their IT and digital needs. We think it's important that everyone can access and understand what's going on in Parliament. Our goal is to bring together the public, Parliament Members, and Parliamentary staff to inform, engage, support, and communicate through one, unified digital core.

The Team

The Data and Search team consists of data analysts and data engineers who focus on understanding data, providing insights on data, and transformation of data to effectively deliver services to stakeholders within Parliament. This involves supporting the master data sets, integrations between systems, supporting the implementation of new systems, improving the quality of data and providing analytics and reporting.

The post holder will be part of the data and search team with links to the Transforming Digital (TD) program. TD is a large and wide-ranging program delivering new technology, changes to processes and governance, service transformation, people and capability development and organisational redesign (and much more).

The Role

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will collect, organise and analyse data to provide business insight and support decision making. Core to the role is the assessment of data for its intended use, particularly in the context of consuming and supplying data (data integration, data migration) for the purpose of providing effective services and developing data models for reporting.

This role will help support the Transforming Digital project and the Master Data Management Project, a project the Data and Search Team are delivering. Project work will include supporting the migration of data for systems that are being replaced, providing input into new data models, analysing data quality, and supporting the data integration between systems.

Benefits

We offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days' annual leave (increasing to 35 after a year's service), contributory pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, great training and development programmes, access to various facilities (on-site gym, nursery, hairdressers, post office, travel office and cash machines) and much more.

So What's Next?

Before submitting an application, please ensure you have read through the requirements and additional information as laid out in both of the file attachments: (1) Job Description (2) Candidate Information Pack.

When applying, you will be required to submit a CV and Supporting Statement. In your Supporting Statement, you must demonstrate your suitability in no more than 500 words using the first five criterion listed in The Requirements section of the Job Description. As our application process is anonymous, please ensure there is no personally identifiable information (such as your name) contained within your attachments and in the filenames.

We champion a diverse and inclusive working environment which promotes equality, diversity and inclusion for all regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion/belief, sex or sexual orientation. We welcome applications from people who feel under-represented in the workforce in addition to those who may feel disadvantaged because of their social and/or economic circumstances.
