The IT system Administrator will play a vital role collaborating on IT infrastructure projects across EMEA and globally. As part of a team you will design and implement solutions to technology challenges as well as provide 3rd line support.Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnering with a Global Technology business based in Manchester.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Maintain Active DirectoryParticipate in On-Call rotationTroubleshoot/resolve hardware and software issues with Windows systems as neededMonitor Windows server performance and availabilityPromote and maintain server patch management practicesProvide metrics for capacity management purposesMonitor server load and implement load balancing when neededIdentify, upgrade, and replace server hardware where appropriateConduct periodic HA/DR planning exercises as requiredManage and participate in projects as assigned and work with team members across the company to deliver project goals.Resolve assigned trouble tickets and maintain accurate status in Hologic's ticketing systemsEnsure that all security requirements are met or exceededDocument technical designs and proceduresCommunicate information through effective written and oral communication and presentationsProfileKey Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalentProfessional certifications -Microsoft, Cisco, CitrixWindows Server experienceVMware virtualization experiencePossess strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to oversee the development and execution of detailed project plansAbility to communicate potentially complex solutions clearly and comprehensively to audiences of varying technical ability and understandingSelf-directed and capable of working on several projects and efforts simultaneouslySystem experience:Hands-on Microsoft Exchange experienceHands-on Microsoft Teams experienceHands-on Microsoft Office 365/Exchange AdministrationHands-on Microsoft System Center Operations Manager experienceHands-on experience with Cisco UCS & Dell HW platformsHands-on Windows system administration experience in a distributed environmentExperience designing and implementing projects including Active Directory, Microsoft server clustering using Windows 2012/2016 Server, Windows DFS, Remote Desktop ServicesDemonstrated knowledge of SAN Technologies (Pure/EMC a plus)Demonstrated knowledge of SSO/SAML/ADFS/IDP (SecureAuth a plus)Demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMware ESX 3/4/5/6Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Windows servers and related technologiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Services (including, WSUS, IIS, FTP, DNS, DFS, TCP/IP, DHCP, SNMPJob OfferSalary - £40,000 - £50,000
