Senior Java Developer London to £100k

Senior Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer (core Java) *Hybrid WfH*. Are you a Senior Java Developer looking to remain hands-on working on complex and challenging Greenfield systems using the latest technologies?

You could be joining a global FinTech consistently voted as one of Britain's top employers.

As a Senior Java Developer you will join a small team working across a range of real-time trading systems including a Greenfield project to create an entirely new trading exchange; the codebase is less than 18 months old, there's lots of new development and improvements to made. You'll be working across the full development lifecycle from stakeholder liaison through to delivery, setting the standards and driving quality using multi-threaded core Java.

There's currently a remote interview / onboarding process as well as work from home during the current social distancing measures with a great deal of flexibility going forwards (2 days in the office, flexible start times); when you are in the office you'll be based in the City with an upbeat team environment, casual dress code and a range of facilities including roof terrace and break out areas.

Requirements:

You have advanced core Java skills including multi-threading and concurrency

You have experience with real-time, low-latency, high-throughput, distributed and scalable systems (doesn't have to be in finance e.g. gaming, telcos or other highly transactional real-time environment)

You're an advocate of Agile methodologies with a good knowledge of Scrum, TDD, CI/CD

You have strong analysis and problem solving skills

Experience with at least one of the following, also in the tech stack: Spring, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Oracle, FIX connectivity

You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills

As a Senior Java Developer you will earn a competitive salary (to £100k) plus bonus and 12.5% flexible benefits package.
