Senior Electrical Designer / Design Team Manager Bristol £65k to £75k p.a. + benefitsJoin this Bristol based successful high voltage engineering company as Senior Electrical Designer to lead a team of engineers and techniciansThe RoleAs Senior Electrical Designer you will manage a team of engineers & CAD technicians. With responsibility for managing design process / delivery of designs you will also be responsible for:producing design risk assessments / providing design support at all stages of projectupdating / compiling new company design standardsproducing technical specifications for primary equipment / protection / control equipment.working with in-house design / CAD drafting team to generate / prepare design packagesattending sites for inspection / design purposes / factory acceptance tests as required.attending design & co-ordination meetings with clients / consultants / representativesThe CompanyOur client is a Bristol based high voltage engineering company specialising in electrical power infrastructure, grid connections and renewable generation. They are currently undergoing a period of successful growth, as they seek to power the transition to a carbon free future.The PersonAs Senior Electrical Designer you will have relevant experience of high voltage electrical engineering design in the electrical contracting or utility industries. Experience at EHV level (66 & 132 kV) is desirable. Qualified or working towards professional registration as a chartered engineer and with knowledge of industry design and study simulation software packages, you will also have the following skills:ability to manage team of engineers / provide technical supportability to manage multiple design projects and prioritise conflicting project deadlinesstrong report writing skills / ability to communicate technical information clearly / conciselyYou must hold a full UK driving licence as this role requires some travel with occasional overnight stays.
