Primarily BAU operational including troubleshooting complex issues that occur within our environment, acting as escalation points for the CRC 3rd line network engineers as needed, implementing upgrades/replacements of equipment as neededClient DetailsMy client - a critical health care organisation in the Public Sector and Government industry are looking for a Senior Network Engineer - join their site in London remotely on an initial 3-month contract!DescriptionThe successful candidate for the Senior Network Engineer - Public Sector and Government 3-month contract role will fulfil the following responsibilities -Primarily BAU operational including troubleshooting complex issues that occur within our environment, acting as escalation points for the CRC 3rd line network engineers as needed, implementing upgrades/replacements of equipment as needed. Also there will be some project work as part of the Transition team work and the separation of service for the out of London customers that are moving to other CSU hosts as part of the current transition work.ProfileTo be considered for the Senior Network Engineer- Public Sector and Government contract role the candidate must present evidence of the following:Strong Cisco technical skills on switches, firewalls and routers in datacentre environmentFortinet experience/skills as we have a number of Fortigate Firewalls within the datacentres alongside the Cisco ASA devices, including Fortimanager and FortiAnalyser appliances.The main datacentre uses Cisco ACI fabric with 9200/9300 series switches.Azure environment so need familiarity with Azure networking, expressroute, etc. including the virtual firewall appliances from both Cisco and Fortigate.Other technologies they support include Kemp Load Balancers supporting a number of applications including MS DirectAccess and VMWare Horizon VDI hosted within the datacentre.The WAN network is a mix of Internet Breakouts with HSCN, IPVPN (MPLS) and point to point links for the private WAN connectivity between sites, with various segments supported by different 3rd parties that need to be liaised with when required to support troubleshooting of issues.Cisco qualification should be at least CCNA, preferably CCNP.Job OfferInitial 3 month fully remote contract or onsite in London paying £300-350 p/day inside IR35.
