Reporting to and working very closely with the Performance Analytics Manager (Poker), we are looking for an inquisitive and motivated analyst to support the commercial performance of the partypoker brand. As well as providing analytical support for business decisions and contributing to day-to-day KPI monitoring, you will be using your brain to spot business opportunities and identify & tackle problems early.

This is a highly multifaceted and impactful role which offers phenomenal development opportunity through exposure to big data, Tableau and Python. We are prepared to upskill an otherwise strong candidate in their weaker areas.

The candidate will have experience within data-driven analytics working with a mix of business partners, a strong mathematical background, and superb communication and presentation skills.

Your responsibilities

Prepare data sets for analysis by querying data sources (SQL, Excel, Tableau)

Provide analysis not just data! You need to be able to understand the data, draw out useful findings, and deliver them concisely so that is easy to digest for senior collaborators.

Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to existing analytics processes, tools and techniques

Provide input into for the development of predictive models, customer segmentation studies, and new reporting/dashboards

Work cross-functionally with the CRM, VIP & other Poker teams, as well as Regional Managers, to understand their activities, strategic goals and opportunities

Answer ad-hoc business questions using data and analytical techniques, providing fact-based responses

Support the Profit & Loss (P&L) budget process, ensuring EBITDA targets are met.

Essential:

Experience in a data analytics role and a passion for making an impact with data

Degree in a relevant numerical discipline (e.g. natural & social sciences, economics, mathematics, computer science, statistics)

Strong understanding of KPIs, business processes and data context

Ability to transform complex facts and figures into plain English, coupled with exceptional presentation skills

Excellent data visualisation skills

Exceptional data wrangling skills (Excel/Sheets) dealing with complex datasets to combine and automate the analytics workflow

Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying databases

Experience using dashboard/reporting tools - Tableau / Microstrategy or similar
