Security Operations Engineer / Fintech / Contract / London / £600-£650pd inside IR35 My client, a Fintech that specialises in loans and credits is looking for a Security Operations Engineer with previous experience working with SIEM (preferably Splunk) to join their team based in London with some remote working allowance. What the role will entail:Successful candidate will support the Information Security team through identifying, mitigating, and responding to threats. Candidate will also be responsible for providing incident response and log analysis, as well as producing MI, and testing the effectiveness of current cyber controls. The candidate will also be expected to liaise closely with infrastructure, software engineers, as well as assist the SOC team. The candidate must possess:- Deep understanding of log events: Linux, WAF, Windows, IPS/IDS.- Knowledge of Cloud Services: AWS, vulnerability scanning, AV products. - Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks and network protocols. - Solid understanding of security practice and technologies. Good to have - Previous financial services experience. - Knowledge of Nessus or security centre.- Scripting skills.- Working knowledge of Linux containers, Kubernetes and Twislock. - Relevant security operations certification: GCIA, GCIH, GMON, CSA, CySA, etc. They're offering a 12 months rolling contract and are looking to take someone in the next 3-4 weeks' time.
