In so doing, they seek to make a positive, sustainable contribution to both the UK economy and society.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Oracle SQL Developer for a 6 Months contract based in London.Purpose of the Role:Purpose: Responsible for the Development and Maintenance of Poseidon application which is a CIB Liquidity reporting application.Scope: UK based Poseidon IT Development team. Responsibility for the IT development and enhancement of Poseidon applicationAs a Oracle SQL Developer you will be responsible for:Develop and enhance Poseidon application as assigned by team lead.Contribute and propose changes to application design.Train and mentor junior developers in team.Organize periodic knowledge and training session to IT Development and APS teams.Lead implementation and enhancements of DevOps processes.Contribute to strategic developments of application as directed by team lead.What we require from the candidate:EssentialExtensive expérience of Oracle SQL (ideally Oracle 12c) and above.End to end development experience with Oracle and Python.Expertise with writing and optimizing stored procedures and SQL query performanceDemonstrate track record in working on large databases where performance is keyStrong analysis and problem-solving skillsStrong interest in financial topicsVery high level of motivationStrong communication skills.A positive and collaborative attitudeStrong knowledge of Python including the ability to create and maintain projects and classesExpertise in Tools: Git, PL/SQL PreferredKnowledge of Capital Market productsKnowledge of Balance Sheet, Funding, CollateralKnow or willing to learn functional programmingInterests in finance topicsTest driven development (TDD)Knowledge of DevOpsIf you are interested in applying for this position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
