The Application Support Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting all core business applications within the IT estate. The successful applicant will lead and manage the Application Support Team, prioritising and planning work and overseeing all Application Support requests, incidents, problems, and change.Client DetailsMichael Page Technology are delighted to have partnered with a national housing organisation to support them with the successful recruitment of an IT Service Delivery Manager.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing:The successful candidate will play a role in shaping the organisations IT function for both our immediate requirements and those in the future and we're keen to hear from people able to lead, engage and influence at all levels.The Application Support Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting all core business applications within the IT estate. The successful applicant will lead and manage the Application Support Team, prioritising and planning work and overseeing all Application Support requests, incidents, problems, and change. You will also be responsible for developing best practice Application Support policies, processes and procedures.ProfileKey Skills & Experience:You'll be an experienced Applications Support Manager and will be able to demonstrate:Proven experience managing and leading Application or System Development teams in an ITIL environmentExperience and knowledge of software development principles, database management, data warehouse, middleware, server, and cloud configuration (experience of Microsoft technologies).Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and complex technical problem solving across multi-tiered enterprise applications.Experience of working with in-house and third-party development and operational teams.Understanding of software development life cycle and change management.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Strong stakeholder management skillsAbility to produce accurate, concise reports.Good business and financial awareness.Desirable Qualifications:Educated to degree level in an IT/IM related disciplineMicrosoft certified (or equivalent)Prince2 certified (or equivalent)ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate (or equivalent)Further ITIL Qualifications (or equivalent).Job OfferSalary:£52,390 per annumFlexible Working:This role will include a hybrid working style, working 2 days per week in the office and 3 from home. As such, it is a requirement for candidates to be able to work 2 days per week from our Oldham office.
