Avanade UK Security team is looking to hire an experienced Managed Security Services solution architect, with real world experience selling, solutioning and delivering large and complex Managed Security Services contracts and service for medium to large enterprises.  

We provide the unique opportunity to help develop market leading Microsoft focused Managed Security Services, that are easy to sell and solution, whilst solving complex and cutting-edge Cyber Defense business challenges across our clients Cloud Providers, Microsoft 365 platform, end user devices and identity infrastructures.

About the role:

The Managed Security Services Lead (MSS Lead) is responsible for leading and supporting the operation and growth Managed Security Services business and working closely with the Account and Sales teams to qualify and drive the corresponding sales opportunities. The MSS Lead also plays a critical client-facing role that helps the clients to understand their business requirements and to work with the architects to formulate the right solution to achieve the desired client outcomes.

You will learn how to operate in a large and global organization that is also part owned by Accenture and Microsoft, with this combination, Avanade is in a truly unique position to be the leader in the Microsoft Managed Security Services space, and indeed already has significant strength in this area. 

Important note: We are agnostic on the vendors you've worked with; we're looking for your skills and capabilities in this area and a proven ability to learn new technology. Ideally, you would have had experience working on the Microsoft Security platform (tools around Azure AD, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security, Microsoft Defender would be a major plus), however we can provide focused training to the right candidates who can demonstrate their passion, experience and thought leadership in the Cyber Defense space.

Your responsibilities may include : 

Manage and grow a portfolio of Managed Security Services business and associated market offerings.

Manage and work with security solution architects and collaborate with other subject matter experts and delivery centers to originate opportunities and to create compelling and differentiated managed security solutions and value propositions.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with the account teams and client stakeholders

Identify customer needs and understand business goals to envisage the high-level solution and winning strategy.

Develop detailed security transformation and operations opportunities based on the capabilities, standardized tools, processes and partner technology with the security architects and other technology partners.

Drive and involve in the proposal, solution presentations, pricing estimation and contractual discussions.

Conduct and follow through the sales process to accomplish the closure.

About You:

You are an experienced Managed Security Services solution architect, interested in joining our rapidly growing security practice. To hit the ground running, your skills include

Good experience in Cyber Security Operations, Incident Response, Forensic Investigation, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, Data Protection & Identity Management.

Proven experience in solutioning across all cyber security domains (Security Operations, Endpoint Detection & Response, Application Security, Identity Management plays)

Deeper understanding of Security Operations and Services, Incident Response, Threat intelligence lifecycle, Threat hunting methodology, cyber kill-chain, MITRE attack framework, Malware reverse engineering & Forensic Analysis.

Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) specifically around tools like Microsoft Sentinel and other tools like Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar experience is handy.

Proven experience defining complex Managed Security Services contracts, terms, and advanced negotiation skills.

A good understanding of threat modelling, risk and how to mitigate the risks concerning applications, both from internal and external threat actors.

A deep understanding of incident response processes and techniques for cyber recovery.

A deep understanding of security operations centers, their functions, and roles.

A good understanding of techniques and approaches used by threat actors to compromise companies.
