An exciting opportunity for a Master Data Manager to join a global US FMCG client and build out master data management capability.Client DetailsMy client is a world-leading FMCG business that is a household name. Due to a recent merger & acquisition, it has created a an exciting opportunity for a Master Data Manager to come and Provide master data management capability across all master data sets. With a remote working policy in place, you will be working with a forward-thinking organisation that are keen to build a new data function as a 'best in class' service. DescriptionProvide master data management capability across all master data sets You will take the lead on the Product master data focussed on establishing Master Data flow analysis across target architecture including working very closely with Enterprise architect role and programme IT lead rolesyou will also understand the current As-Is Master data flow arrangements within (SAP master data) and those now established via a new ERP/EDI and all key data interfaces, assess current Master /Data Governance maturity, Create to be data flow in conjunction with Enterprise Architects integration roadmap.You will help establish good data management and governance practice as well as build that capability within existing business units and provide oversight and governance forum to manage data governance framework.High level analysis of current Master data - Determine what Master sets currently exist in the organisation; where they are stored [system of record] and the existing stakeholders involved in Create, Read, Update, Deactivate interactions. Product Lifecycle model for product will input to this, as well as QMSAssess Maturity - Assess and summarise current maturity to inform remediation and development actions. Develop high level To-Be flows for each Master Data Set - Determine how Master Datasets will exist in the organisation; where they will be stored and the future stakeholders involved in Create, Read, Update, Deactivate interactions.Develop a Master roadmap - Define the approach and sequence for SWC Master Data development to include: Identification of any developments which can be undertaken without the need for technical investment [for example improvements to the data itself, process, procedures, standards etc] working with quality team and EA to ensure QMS and target transition plans account for development plan. Identify where technical change and controls will be necessary, either manually or via system constructs.Create a data governance framework to manageProfileThe ideal candidate will:Fundamentally, this is a strong, all-rounder MDM/data management/governance personBe able to clearly articulate the way forward through a roadmap of what Master /data governance and data management should becomeExperience defining data management policies, frameworks and processes such as data ownership models, standards and quality including SOP and data policiesHappy to get hands on organising and running workshops.Happy to get hands on creating flows and CRUD matrices. Experience of using process mapping tool such as Visio beneficialKnowledgeable in maturity frameworks, in particular leveraging such industry frameworks to ascertain current maturity levels - which can then be used to inform future developments in a structured manner.Confident and articulate communicator. Has the ability to translate Governance/MDM concepts in plain English to business stakeholdersKnowledge of subjects including master data management, reference data management, metadata management and data qualityGood understanding of data modelling approaches (not looking for an expert data modeller ANy experience gained within FMCG arena will carry a distinct advantage.Job OfferIn return, you will be given an excellent financial and rewards package, full remote working with flexibility.
