And we create innovative solutions that keep the nation safe. As a Mathematical Modeller, you'll be at the forefront of our defence and security research. You'll do the kind of impactful work that only exists here.
In this role, you'll use mathematical modelling to predict and assess chemical and biological hazards across a range of different environments. Logical and detail-orientated, you'll work as part of the Dispersion Science and Software team and through the application of modelling and simulation techniques, your expertise will support operations, and inform policies and research. You'll also translate your findings into the best formats for different audiences, using clear and concise terms.
To join, you'll need a 2 a relevant degree, or equivalent experience. We'll be looking for your experience of mathematical modelling and your ability to build great relationships within a team. You'll also be highly organised and able to manage a complex workload. Plus, you'll always be keen to tackle unfamiliar problems and challenge yourself.
