Our Implementation Engineer is a key customer focus role within the Citizen Identity Solutions business Area of HID Global. As part of the solution quality assurance deployment and technical support team you will have global collaboration on national programs around the world. Reporting into the Release and Control Manager, the successful Engineer will become a Subject Matter Expert on the National ID programs they deploy. Who are we? The Citizen Identity Solutions (CID) Business Area focuses on delivering complex, scalable and future proof government ID programs , empowering local government and partners within the citizen identity market,securing major customers in the industry.
CID support more than 60% of the worlds government ID programs, including ID card programs, Issuance solutions deployed and system integration projects. The Position? As our Implementation Engineer within the solution quality assurance deployment and technical support team, you will be responsible for ensuring deployment of national passports and ID cards solutions around the world. The Implementation Engineer will engage with the Software Development function to understand pre-requisites, configure, and then deployment packages on test and live environments, making sure test teams can complete their end to end testing successfully What we will love about your background: Understands the benefit of documentation, a knowledge sharing champion Understands the benefit of version control and change control (ITIL - Release Control and Validation) Able to self organise workload to ensure products are delivered in line with agreed schedules Excellent written and oral communication skills - direct relationship with internal and external clients Able to change direction with ease to overcome and to adapt to changing priorities and problems as they aris Your Experience and Education include: Educated to degree level in software engineering or computer science, or have equivalent experience Knowledge of Microsoft server, and/or Linux operating systems e.g. RHEL/OpenShift; Understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services; Set up and administration of of servers, pcs, firewalls, HSMs Knowledge of VM technologies; Knowledge of security best practices and tools; ELK stack reporting systems, Graphana/InfluxDB or similar; Experience of cloud technologies Why apply?
