International Logistics Development Manager4 month initial contractRemote for foreseeable, aligned to office in London£500 - £600 per day inside IR35 About the jobWorking with an International Retailer, the international business exists to sell the client to the world. They have a fantastic omnichannel transformation in flight, as a key element of the overall group strategy. The supply chain is at the heart of this transformational change as we support the business' growth ambitions, meet the needs of our evolving business model and continue to react to the challenging external environment.The client have a huge amount to deliver at pace to enable their supply chain to become truly responsive, so we are looking for an experienced International Logistic Development Manager in delivering this change by quickly understanding sophisticated problems and creating scalable solutions across all our selling channels (Retail, D2C and B2B inc Marketplace). The successful candidate must be comfortable working on numerous projects in parallel at different stages of the project lifestyle. Key AccountabilitiesIdentify opportunities and recommend logistics solutions to deliver the International growth ambition to deliver the 3 year plan and the longer term horizonDevelop logistics solution to support both continuous improvement, issue resolution and strategic change across all logistics channels and feed into the project pipeline to support the roadmapDevelop business cases including the operational and financial analysis and present in a way which drives clear decision makingComplete RFPs to support detailed business case costing, evaluation of operational change and work with operational teams to ensure solution design is optimal and meets requirementsDeliver projects to agreed timescales and to achieve expected outputs within budgetAbility to work under pressure and with a diverse group of stakeholders and gain agreement across business regarding benefits and impacts to the business and customersAbility to work cross functionally and lead internal and external stakeholders through a common set of objectives and deliverables.Understand programme dependencies and work across teams to ensure change is delivered effectively and in a joined up way with thorough understanding of the E2E Supply Chain network.Work with the business change function to ensure change management meets requirements and works towards the overall programme / project objectives Identification, monitoring and managing of project risks, including working with key stakeholders to agree mitigation strategies and escalations where necessary with a particular focus on maintaining service to our partners and channelsStakeholder management: Provide status updates at the appropriate level according to the audience and facilitate decision making to ensure critical path is kept Key SkillsStrong International Supply Chain and logistics experience covering both D2C and B2B inc Marketplace and having an excellent understanding of what is required for best in class delivery operations.Strong strategic thinker with a bias for action and deliveryThe ability to work under pressure in an environment which values fast, impactful deliveryAbility to set direction when dealing with ambiguity ·Excellent understanding of what is required for best in class D2C and marketplace delivery operationsFinancially literate with high level of numeracy, analytical and reporting skills. Competent with Powerpoint and high proficiency with Excel ·Strong interpersonal & communication skills through both verbal and written media to initiate and build strong relationships with wider project team & build a network of supportive colleagues in wider business ·Great stakeholder management skills across senior stakeholders, project teams and business leads and the ability to listen, gather input, summarise and feedback requirements ·
