Site Manager (Roofing/Cladding)

£45,000-£55,000 Fixed term contract 1 year / Freelance role available at £220 a day

This is an excellent opportunity for a site manager with roofing and cladding experience to join an established company, with a recognised name in the market. The company is in a period of high growth, recently opening a new office to meet higher demand and propel their plans for further growth and success.

This roofing and cladding contractor offers a complete service from the design stage to the installation and maintenance of the structure once the project is complete. Due to their success and increased workload, they are looking for a site manager with experience in roofing and cladding to join their team, meet the higher demand and take them to the next stages of success. In this role you will be site based overseeing and assisting the project which is a 40 story office block in the centre of Manchester.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to become an integral part in a business' ongoing success, assisting on large projects in a dynamic environment, working alongside an established and experienced team.

The Role:

- Supervision of trades and labour

- Commercial Site Management: Tool Box Talks, H&S checks, Liaising with the Project Manager, Managing the sub-contractors, issuing and signing off timesheet

- Liaising with project manager on a regular basis

- If works aren't going as plan, need to be able to explain why this is the case.

- Freelance opportunity with potential for extension/perm placement The Person:Construction experience5+ years in site managementRoofing & cladding & facades experience

Examples of experience required:

Roofing Systems:

SIP's panels and CLT substructures.

Metal decking and structural tray systems.

Built-up metal profiled roofing systems including in-plane rooflights.

Standing seam roofing (both traditional and zipped up systems).

Composite panel roofing systems (membrane and metal faced options).

Slate and tile roofing.

Liquid applied roofing systems (both hot melt and cold applied solutions).

Built-up bituminous felt roofing systems.

Single layer polymeric roofing systems

Rainwater goods (including gutters, pipes and ancillary items).
