Operations Support Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Support Engineer to join a life-changing not for profit housing organisation in a technical role offering excellent training and benefits.

This company are one of the largest housing providers in the UK and a member of one of London's largest housing associations. They have big ambitions including the construction of 7000 new homes by 2025.

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the technology, infrastructure systems and software, including backup processes and procedures. You will contribute to the implementation of upgrades and new systems and contribute to 3rd and provide 2nd line support for live systems and software. You will also be required to make regular visits to other sites using a company pool vehicle.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer with experience of the Microsoft Windows Server Stack including associated Microsoft technologies such as Windows clustering, IIS, Exchange and SQL Server. Experience of server hardware including Rack, Apollo and blade servers along with enterprise level storage (3Par, EMC, Dell) and VDI / Virtualisation is sought after. Any experience of Cloud Technologies, Anti-virus software, security patching and disaster recovery methodologies is an advantage.
