Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household and business in the UK can rely on a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supply. We are playing a vital part in accelerating the transition to Net Zero and a carbon neutral energy system - a goal that everyone wants to achieve. Whatever your role, you'll be playing your part in creating new energy solutions that are great for customers, and great for the environment.

We offer a diverse range of flexible working career opportunities: roles that are stimulating and rewarding, where you can get involved in ground-breaking work. And it's important to us that we recruit from a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds - bringing different perspectives and experiences to our work.

It's a great time for an experienced and capable PMO professional to join the Ofgem team. We are in the midst of an organisational transformation programme that is designed to enhance how we work: encompassing culture and ways of working, talent, operating environment, digital capability, systems and processes. As we move into the implementation phase of some key initiatives, you will work alongside the PMO Lead to manage the day-to-day running of the programme, utilising robust programme management tools.

It's an opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across the organisation and to play an involved role in a variety of change and transformation projects - that are being delivered at pace. You'll be part of a growing team, with a considerable depth of expertise, so it's a great environment for professional development - with the added benefit of flexible, hybrid working.

We're looking for someone who thrives in an environment of change and who can offer professional expertise in the practical application of programme/project methodologies and techniques - working in both traditional and agile environments. You should be accustomed to managing risks and issues logs and producing dashboard reporting to project / programme boards. And you'll need to demonstrate hands-on personal experience of mapping out and managing a complex Programme Plan, agreeing milestones and identifying key interdependencies. Collaboration, co-ordination and excellent communication skills will be key - you will be a great relationship builder and team player. This is a great career move for someone who is highly proactive, welcomes accountability and enjoys delivering in a fast-paced, and sometimes unpredictable environment.
