We need an experienced content designer who can make sense where there is very little framework or direction. You'll be expected to work closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to drive the project direction for the best outcomes. Evaluating existing systems and services from a content perspective; in-line with best practice and accessibility standardsWorking with clients to create and validate content that meets user needs and business objectivesCreating evidence-based content design recommendations with a clear narrative and documentationCreating and iterating content based on user feedback, research, and analyticsWorking closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders and partners to deliver clear, relevant contentEnsuring content is user focused, accurate, accessible, optimised appropriately (e.g. for search)Meeting relevant design, style and brand guidelines if available or helping establish guidelines where none existWorking with other specialists in project teams to understand user behaviours to improve how systems and services workSupporting the wider digital experience team with best practice, and help promote user-focused content designExperience working with the UK Government - delivering within the Government Service Standard and participating in GDS assessmentsDemonstrable domain knowledge of UK Government Departments and PolicyEvidence of developing clear, accessible content to meet user needs for digital servicesStrong editing skills and an eye for detailSkilled at writing for different topics, audience groups, purposes, styles, and formatsAdept at providing simple, clear content to communicate complex issuesAbility to get to the heart of an issue quickly and clearly, demonstrating expert knowledge in an applied settingMinimum, 3 years of industry experience within a content designer role. Preferably working for a consulting firm or agencyExperience working within an Agile team within a commercial environmentAbility to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, multi-vendor teamsGood project case studies (web-link or PDF) outlining your contribution towards each project, process, methods, and outcomes (all submissions treated with the strictest confidence)Please submit CVs today!
