About the Role

An excellent opportunity to join a diverse team of developers and lead the department. This role is ideally suited to the hands-on Team Leader, who is seeking to transform the trajectory of the business. Working on various technologies and supporting the team to achieve their objectives.

A Development Team Leader who will lead development projects predominately in Microsoft.Net and SQL server-based technologies. Managing a full delivery cycle and working closely with the business leaders.

This role offers varying challenges across a wide variety of projects and responsibilities, including the opportunity to influence the future direction of the department and systems across the global business.

Scaling, updating to the latest web technologies, API integration, ERP/MIS/Finance integration are just some of the current projects which are essential for the growth of the organisation.


  • Team building, screening, selecting and recruiting a cross-border team
  • Developing a model for consultants, contractors, on-site and off-site teams to work harmoniously
  • Conduct daily stand up meetings and support the team's goals
  • Line management and personal development of a team of skilled developers
  • Managing and delivery of multiple simultaneous system development projects from design through to release
  • Capable of understanding and contributing to the technical solutions from design through to code level
  • Delivering on weekly sprints, monthly stories and longer term projects
  • Ability to work with cross functional departments to deliver on business growth objectives
  • Provide regular and effective progress updates to all relevant stakeholders
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and drive all stakeholders to deliver on time and to the required quality standards
  • Develop and install agile processes to rapidly deliver technology services
  • Optimising current work patterns for process efficiency and continuous delivery
  • Apply existing frameworks, so the business can offer mobile working to the local development team
  • Contribute to the business strategy and strategic growth direction and progress company objectives
  • Take responsibility for making decisions to ensure the successful implementation of all initiatives
  • Working on a wide variety of current and new projects to transform the business
  • Helping to build a research and development lab, with a governing set of principles

Experience and Knowledge

  • Strong powerful communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail, thorough and systematic in their approach
  • People Management, influence and leadership experience
  • Experience in scrum master practical implementation
  • Experience in formal personal development planning and individual, team and process performance
  • Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system, software development projects in an agile and dynamic environment
  • Experience in architecture and implementation-level software design
  • Some experience in the development of ecommerce B2B or B2C or web portals
  • Experience and working knowledge of business processes for operational fulfilment
  • Experience in the development of software using C# .Net, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML
  • Some front-end experience with Bootstrap, jQuery and knowledge of best practices preferred
  • Experience with MS Team Foundation
  • Excellent personal organisation and carry out multiple projects, tasks and business needs
  • Ability to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges
  • A strong desire to remain technical, hands on and willing to support the coding efforts of the team
  • A desire to investigate, test and apply new technologies to push the boundaries
  • Being able to prioritise all tasks, reshuffling tasks and maintaining a focus on the bigger picture
