Senior Software Developer London / Remote UK to £110k

Senior Software Developer / Engineer (Golang C++ Java Python) *Remote / Hybrid WfH*. Fast growing FinTech banking solutions provider is seeking skilled backend technologists.

As a Senior Software Developer you will focus on solving some of the company's most challenging and complex technology problems; architecting and designing new features and enhancements on the core Open Banking API focussed product. You'll be working on highly scalable, performant, real-time, complex systems (APIs, HTTP, GRPC) within a containerised microservices environment encompassing Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.

You'll be an integral part of an Agile team using Pair Programming to craft well tested software with SOLID design principles, taking technical ownership and providing mentoring to more junior team members (no direct reports).

You'll be challenged, collaborating to solve real world problems and continually learning on a modern tech stack as well as gaining valuable knowledge of Open Banking technology.

The company is currently able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work full-time from home for the foreseeable with plans to return to the office in East London in the comping months, there's continued flexibility to work from home full-time (remotely in the UK) or join colleagues in the office as little or often as desired.

Requirements:

You have a strong software engineering experience (likely to have a background with C / C++, Java or Python)

You have commercial Go / Golang development experience are happy to use this going forward

You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including OOP, Design Patterns and Data Structures

You have a good knowledge of SOLID design principles; API design and microservices environments

You have a genuine enthusiasm for technology, you'll likely attend conferences, tech meet-ups and read / write blogs

You're collaborative with strong communication skills, happy to mentor and coach
