ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a lead/senior technical architecture hands-on engineer with proven experience on large programmes with excellent English and client communication skills.Our project team is currently starting a greenfield innovation programme of work for one of the world's largest banking institutions. The team will be focused upon delivering mission-critical solutions for this tier-one financial institution.Our client is a leading banking institution that is building and migrating to a new ecosystem in the cloud. The role sits as part of the core data and digital transformation team that is supporting a large infrastructure group in this programme.
ABOUT YOU:
Do you have experience with Mongo Database and want to contribute to the Open Source community?Do you have deep technical know-how and hands-on experience implementing various practices and tools and patterns of technology?Are you able to deliver solutions while also rolling your sleeves up and getting involved in coding, code review and solutions integration?Are you interested in promoting the best of breed open-source tooling, patterns of technology and to work at one of the world's largest banking brands?
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Our Mongo Engineer will provide complete support for all aspects of database and application infrastructure to our client;As an open-source database engineer and administrator you will monitor and support database environments and serve as an escalation point for complex troubleshooting and interactive production support;You will use performance monitors to diagnose and address database performance issues;You'll work closely with the customer team to understand their needs, in both a project-based and long term support capacity;You'll create and document database standards, create optimized queries, indexes, and data structures.
SKILLS:
Proficiency within:Mongo DB (preferably with Certification)Java programming Strong experience in:Distributed databasesKubernetes and/or DockerGCP (desirable) Preferred experience in:CI/CDSRETest AutomationK8Cloud Native
