The newly formed SPW Technology & Engineering function is responsible for building the technology platform to support our new venture. We are entirely in the cloud, taking advantage of powerful commoditised offerings where we can, and building bespoke cloud-native solutions when they can differentiate us from our competition.

The role

You will report directly to the Head of Digital & Client Technology, to ensure that the Digital Ecosystem within SPW supports the constant enhancement of the digital journey for our clients.

What you'll be doing

Working with the business to create a seamless digital experience.

Helping define the shape of, and managing, a small central team.

Leading a cross functional team of developers, analysts and UX/CX that will work with key business and technology stakeholders to create and deliver a roadmap that supports increased engagement and drives the generation of leads through our digital channels.

Working with the Architecture & Engineering function to ensure that your team adheres to the development and release standards and practices set.

We believe in an open and collaborative working environment, and we want you to draw upon your experience to establish this culture within the team, whilst ensuring we do not skip over our regulatory obligations around process controls.

Your qualifications & experience

You come from a background of experience with Digital delivery

You understand the many aspects of "data" and appreciate its value to an organisation like SPW.

You have worked on public-facing systems, and understand how to build them to be secure, scalable and resilient.

You have worked in/led a cross functional team delivering against tight timeframes.

You have experience working in and adopting Agile methodologies

You have the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels across the business and translate technical solutions that is easy to understand for end users

You have experience managing a team of your own and third-party suppliers

You have proven experience in managing the development and delivery of public-facing digital tools, such as websites, apps, and portals.
