Circa £44,000 + benefits
Up to 12 months contract (maternity cover)
35 hours per week (happy to talk flexible working)

The Role
As Salesforce Developer, you will be part of our Digital and Technology directorate, Development team and you will get an opportunity to work on exciting and strategically important projects. You will also have an opportunity to work with a team of experienced developers as well as contribute towards better user experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Developing and configuring the CIPD's two Salesforce instances in line with business and project requirements
Ensuring a high standard of code and documentation is maintained at all times
Facilitating Cloud First strategic priority by identifying and migrating core business processes onto the Salesforce platform(Cloud First)
Working with Development team colleagues, end users, product managers, and project managers to understand and implement business and project requirements
Leading the design, development, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of bespoke applications and integrations, using Apex classes and triggers, Javascript, Flows, Lightning and Visualforce components, and RestAPI integrations
Providing third and fourth line support for the CIPD's Salesforce instances
Working with other developers to integrate Salesforce with other applications
Leading development of new processes, applications, and integrations to enhance the end user experience
Completing regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
What You'll Need To Be Successful
Salesforce.com Certified Platform Developer
2-3 years Salesforce development experience
Extensive knowledge of development principles and languages including Apex, Javascript, SQL/SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce
Understanding of web development principles and languages such as CSS, HTML
In-depth understanding of Salesforce features, capabilities
Experience in administering or implementing Salesforce Lightning
Experience with Sales, Service, and Community Clouds
Experience using Salesforce.com data tools, including Data Loader
Experience of using code repositories such as GITHub
Good understanding of change management and version control principles
