Salary:
The salary on offer for the Embedded Software Engineer is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.Role:
The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation for firmware for embedded systems and devices from identifying requirements/specifications to production and deployment.
Embedded Software Engineer key skills:
3-5+ years industry experienceHave a thorough understanding of developing for embedded platforms and environmentsEmbedded Software Programming in C, C++Ability to develop, debug and test embedded systemsLow level firmware & bare metal developmentExperience with various microcontrollers and related compilers and debuggers such as Microchip PIC and DsPic (ARM Cortex, TriCore etc. would be an advantage)Communication Protocols - SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, BLE, Bluetooth, WI-FIReal time operating systems - FreeRTOS, Linux or similarExperience of reading schematics and data sheetsFamiliarity with debugging embedded software using common test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyser, protocol analyser etc.)Version Control Systems - GIT, SVN, Bitbucket or similarDesirable nice to have skills:
Hardware Development - Electronics Circuit Design & PCB Design/Schematic CaptureIntegrated Development Environment (IDE) - MPLAB, Keil uVision, Eclipse etcMS SQL, MySQL, SQLite databasesExperience of Java, Python, C#, PHP, ASP.NET programming languagesGreat Benefits Package:
