An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified graduate to deliver a Knowledge Exchange Embed Partnership research project to develop an end-to-end we/mobile application prescription service for primary healthcare patients. The aim of the project is to create a viable application that will be ready for initial trials and then to support the product through to full commercialization in the UK initially. This initial position is a 12-month fixed term, full-time contract (although part-time requests will be considered).

About KEEP

Main duties & responsibilities

You will work with the Mint Medical team to develop an end-to-end mobile application to improve the delivery of primary care, ensuring the mobile application complies with latest GDPR, ethics and regulatory considerations. This will involve generating a product specification and creating a first working prototype based on the agreed specification. You will validate, test and iterate the product internally and externally to a stable release candidate. You will work with Mint Medical partners to define and implement exploitation plans and plot routes to market and commercialization.

Skills and experience needed

You will have academic or industrial experience in cross platform application development including knowledge of key platforms and integrating APIs from different sources. You'll have the ability to interpret and articulate technical and complex information to diverse audiences and the expertise to take the lead on designing, developing, testing and delivering effective cross platform applications.

Experience in design, development, testing, deploying and maintaining up-to-date applications and services to deliver a health tech product via devices running on iOS and Android is essential as well as experience of working across different disciplines to deliver a product.

You will have an understanding of system security mechanisms and technologies to protect (confidential) data and the ability to work independently and remotely as required.

Good oral and written communication skills are essential as well as good time management skills.

Qualifications required

An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent is essential. MSc in computer science or related would be desirable.
