Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer London / WfH to £100k

Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer (Linux TCP/IP Low Latency) *Hybrid WfH*. Are you a skilled backend Java Developer? You could be progressing your career as an integral part of a small collaborative team discussing ideas, pair programming and creating world class FinTech products.

As a Java Developer you will help improve and scale a low latency, high throughput messaging system, designed for e-trading within the Fixed Income markets which handles around 20 thousand events per second. The work is complex and challenging, you'll be continually learning and developing your skills.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in the London, City office 2-3 times a month (or more if desired), where you can enjoy a relaxed working environment with all the latest kit.

Requirements:

You have advanced core Java development skills

You have experience with low latency, high throughput systems (these do not need to be in finance / trading e.g. Telco's, games etc.)

You're an advocate of Agile TDD / DDD

You have a good knowledge of Linux OS and networking basics; TCP, UDP, Ethernet, HTTP

You're collaborative and upbeat with excellent communication skills
