DescriptionProject Manager Project DefinitionProject, resource and budget definition, including (as required):Facilitate the development of a strategic plan to deliver IT & Business changeManage business demand and prioritisationConvert prioritised business demand into well defined projectsBe the technology partner for business in the Digital Workplace portfolioProject ManagementFull project lifecycle management all workstreams, including:Work with Product Owners to build and sign off Product Backlog / Project DefinitionVendor selection, contract negotiation and ongoing management (as required)Ensure solution design approval, and resulting product is secure, stable and well supported,Manage the delivery of the features in the Product Backlog using a combination of inhouse and nearshore agile development teamsHandover of newly implemented change to appropriate Business / Technical supportManage status reporting of projects to Project and Steering Boards,Controls (managed through standard governance process): Milestone plan for workstreams and projects,Success Criteria / Benefits Case,Budget Management,Risks, Issues, Actions & DecisionsQuality Assurance / StandardsFull system and user testing, signed off prior to implementationComplete quality assurance reviews to monitor the quality of project deliverables and reportingMaintain project methodologies, to ensure a consistent use of processes and practicesCoach and mentor team to ensure adoption and consistencyParticipate in annual business & budget planning process to build a roadmap for the Digital Workplace portfolioProfileThe Digital Workplace Project Manager will have extremely strong project management and change management background with a demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and delivery focused Project / Programme environments containing blended teams (e.g. permanent, contract, vendor, SI, Business/IT/operational teams, offshore).Essential competency / experience:Minimum 7 years' experience in project management, at least 2 of which are leading complex business change programmesAble to demonstrate experience of project deliveryFormal project management qualificationsA thorough understanding of all different aspects of project management, and can explain and direct others to deliver theseExperience of reporting into steering group levelExcellent interpersonal communications skillsExtremely well organised and detail orientedConfident, driven and have a strong determination to succeedDesirable competency / experience:Certified in Agile / Scrum techniquesExperience in full spectrum of Software Development LifecycleA good understanding of cyber security and system supportUnderstanding or experience of Salesforce, Oracle Financials, SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft BI stackJob OfferThe Digital Workplace Project Manager in Retail is an exciting new role in a company that places technology adoption at the forefront of its business strategy underpinned by a flexible working policy in Oxfordshire.
