BUSINESS ANALYST - WCR RPE.Location - London/ Hybrid Working (2 Days in Office)Pay rate - £625/Day PAYE to £802/Day UmbrellaDuration - 6 Months contract (Possible of contract extension for the right candidate)Start date - ASAPOur financial services client is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in London office.Role Purpose This role forms part of the Financial and Model Risk Regulatory Policy and Engagement (RPE) team. The jobholder is expected to act as a lead for the RPE team for the ongoing internal review of WCR Regulatory Reporting.Key AccountabilitiesAct as central point of contact for all requests relating to the RPE team.Understand WCR regulatory policies and interpretations, and communicate to stakeholders.Understand bank's IRB permissions, governance around model changes and their impact on RWA reporting.Ensure accurate information is being presented to relevant stakeholders.Preparation of review materials for all levels of management.Global and regional Credit Functions (Wholesale Credit) - Wholesale Credit Risk Senior management team, GRA Regional Heads and regional Policy leadsGlobal CMB, Global Banking and MarketsFinance - Group Regulatory Policy and Regulatory Reporting teamsGroup audit - working with audit managers reviewing risk rating systemsRegulatory bodies - in particular the Prudential Regulatory Authority supervisory and modelling teamsWork together with business experts from the Wholesale Credit and GRA teams and stakeholders to understand Group and Regional processes that impact RWA reporting.Provide challenge and feedback to Global and Regional GRA and WCR teams relating to policy, standards and documentation, and how it impacts regulatory reporting.Ensure consistent and accurate information is being shared with all relevant stakeholders. Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications Experience in general or wholesale banking including Commercial Banking, Global Banking & Markets or Wholesale CreditGood knowledge of the regulatory landscape particularly relating to credit risk regulations, risk models waivers for IRB, or previous experience in a Regulatory Capital policy functionRelevant working experience in a bank, rating agency, consultancy or advisory firm would be consideredWorking within agile project deliverySome understanding of statistics and concepts of the risk modelling process would be advantageousSkillsAbility to lead, manage and successfully deliver within the agreed time scale, in liaison with all relevant stakeholders: model owners, business, finance, senior management and regulatorExcellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatoryManages self to deliver own work within timelinesFlexibility to work with colleagues and key stakeholders in an international teamInfluencing skills are required as many resources will not report to the jobholderUnderstanding of Risk policy, IRB model, Risk model is essential.
