We are looking for a Data specialist who has experience in dealing in Customer Data management, however we are also open to an ambitious Analytical individual with the appetite to learn and grow!  

Purpose of the role:

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for managing the customer data quality process working with stakeholders to drive maximum value from the data whilst maintaining compliance. You will also provide day to day support for a number of our customer systems and data, ensuring a high levels of service to the wider IT team and key departments within Head Office. This role will help to underpin Iceland's customer data strategy and multi-channel business.

This IT centric role requires experience in:

Operational management of IT customer data.

Support of customer data services, systems and platforms.

Multi-channel retail with knowledge of loyalty schemes.

Working cross functionally with related business teams such as Customer Service and Marketing.

Data profiling customer data sets to gain insight in order to identify risk and opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

Establish and manage a new customer data quality process.

Analyse, anticipate, react and resolve data quality issues to a high standard whilst ensuring compliance with GDPR.

Highlighting opportunities for improvements and be able to present thought through recommendations in order to create efficiencies and add value to the business.

Carry out day to day support of customer data systems and integrations, together with responding to and managing incidents.

Where possible, develop and implement solutions to maintain customer data quality.

Supporting business users in their understanding of the customer data available.

Skills required:

Some knowledge in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

Data warehouses such as Teradata or Azure Synapse.

Technologies such as noSQL, cosmos, data lakes.

Use of integration tools or techniques for manipulating and moving data in large volumes.

Confidence working in a fast-paced environment, implementing solutions in line with business need.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to think laterally and proactively in order to achieve results.

Using and adapting quickly to a variety of IT technologies and platforms.

Experience in Microsoft office including excel, word and power-point is also essential - proficiency in diagramming and visualisation tools is desirable.
