Summary/Objective: As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling our ground-breaking products by building relationships with customers through telephone and email conversations. It will be your job to ensure that every customer interaction is exceptional and tailored to meet their needs. You will stay abreast of new technology trends, make new product and market recommendations, and follow up throughout the introduction and critical early states of product sales development. Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:Cultivate new and current customers in assigned territory to identify new opportunities.Generate sales leads through stimulation and building interest of existing and new customers.Identify and develop new market and client opportunities.Respond to customer queries and clarification requests.Oversee inquiries, technical support and overall responsiveness for new products,Assist with the development of suppliers as they apply to market development projects.Participate in the interactions with distributors and distribution channels.Liaise with Field Sales Engineers and Account Managers to prioritise effort, gather competitive intelligence, agree product direction and price strategy to improve customer service consistent with account plans and segmentation that contribute to their ongoing development.Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed.Requirements:
Basic knowledge of the full range of company and third-party technology, products and services, and how these products and services align to customer needs.Multi-channel selling experience would be advantageous.Strong communication skills (oral, written and active listening).Ability to build rapport and demonstrate sensitivity and awareness of other people and cultures.Strong organisational & prioritisation skills.Problem solving abilities.Self-starter who can work independently and proactively on own initiative.Results orientated.Flexibility to travel as the role develops (occasionally at short notice).Strong customer focus.Computer/Technical Literacy: Computer-literate performer with software proficiency covering a variety of applications. Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.Full eligibility to work in the UK. Preferred Education / Technical Background:Educated to HNC/Degree level in an engineering discipline or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience in the industry.
