To deliver and manage a dynamic and secure technical infrastructure for my client, ensuring ICT service continuity and availability. To also act as cover when the IT manager is away.Client DetailsMy client is an enterprising, not-for-profit organisation, set up to improve housing in the borough. As well as managing 19,000 homes for a local authority.Description My client is going through a transformation project with various migrations, technology updates and workign closely with 3rd party suppliers who will also asist in running segment sof the IT infrastructire with the Local Council.You will deliver and manage a dynamic and secure technical infrastructure for Lewisham Homes, ensuring ICT service continuity and availability and to also act as cover when the IT manager is away. 1. To manage a team of technical staff to provide ICT Infrastructure support, optimise the performance of all elements of the network and lead on the investigation and implementation of new technologies to improve service delivery.2. To provide a cost effective, reliable and secure ICT service desk operational support and development service to meet the business and strategic needs of the organisation.3. To drive continual service improvement within the infrastructure team and to contribute to performance improvement initiatives across ICT Services and the organisation.4. To assist the Head of ICT and in the direction of the service and to assess the impact of major policy and legislative changes.5.To participate in the ICT project management process using PRINCE2 methodology, taking on Senior User and Senior Supplier project board roles6.To provide expert knowledge, skills and interventions to influence, challenge and achieve the goals and targets set out under the ICT strategy ProfileThe ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and exposure to the technology below;Citrix & VMware qualified,Office 365 migrationM365 Mobile device Azure cloudSharepointTeamsActive Dirtectory /4th line supportIn addition to this, you will leading a team of 4 and reporting to the IT manager. It is essential you have the following;Experience of working in an ITIL standard infrastructure environment supporting at least 500 usersExperience of reviewing systems and processes as part of continuous service Improvement.Experience of managing, motivating and developing staff within the team.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written which are clear, fluent, concise and appropriate.Ability to provide a solutions focused approach in dealings with managers at all levels, including the ability to balance and supportive coaching role with robust challenge Job OfferA 6 month contract where you will be involved in an exciting project of migrations and technology updates. FTC position - salary brackets £53,000 - £62,000 per year. Day rate salary can also be negotiated ( Inside IR35 Role) CV's are being reviewed ASAP and interviews scheduled within 2 days if your profile is moved forward. You will need to start this position no later then 18th October 2021 as you will be taking a handover from the current Infrastructure team leader who is leaving the business.
