As Infrastructure Manager you will assist in the design, assessment, implementation and continual improvement of the IT Infrastructure. In addition, you will manage, supervise, mentor, train and carry out performance appraisals for all members of the Infrastructure Team.Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnered with along standing client in the not-for-profit sector, to support on the recruitment of a Infrastructure Manager.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing?As Infrastructure Manager you will assist in the design, assessment, implementation and continual improvement of the IT Infrastructure. In addition, you will manage, supervise, mentor, train and carry out performance appraisals for all members of the Infrastructure Team.Key Responsibilities:Take responsibility for all Windows servers running a host of applications such as Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Desktop Virtualisation (RDS/Citrix), Microsoft SQL, Sharepoint, Security applications (AppSense, BitDefender) and business applications Take responsibility for decisions influencing the procurement/purchasing of valuable and complex hardware and softwareMake major decisions on strategic and operational delivery of IT systems and servicesLiaise with other teams and agencies, internal and external to achieve co-ordination of standards, work plans and targetsBe responsible for the deployment of new infrastructure in line with core business requirements and strategies ProfileKey Skills & Experience:Experience of team leading or managementNVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in an IT related subjectStrong technical knowledge in Microsoft technologies both server and desktopAble to lead and motivate a team to ensure objectives and deadlines are achievedProven experience of managing a virtual desktop & server environmentProven experience of configuration, support and maintenance of Windows servers in a 500 users plus high availability environmentJob OfferSalary:£49,000 - £53,000Benefits:Flexible working Excellent contributory pension schemeFree car parkingOn site café/restaurant
