As an established and approved supplier to this global financial services organisation we have been asked to assist in the hire of six individuals to join a newly formed Operations Support unit.

The IT Service Operations Analyst is one of the key roles in the IT Service Operations team. The role provides a single point of responsibility for the resolution of service including major incidents, service monitoring and event management.

This is a 24/7 rota role: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights, 4 days off, 4 days etc.

Key skills

IT Operations Support / IT Operations Analysis experience

ITIL Service management framework experience

Incident management

Event management

Systems management

Knowledge of ITSM tools (Service Now is desirable)

Service monitoring tools

Monitoring of security technologies including Anti-Virus, Email and Web filtering, Security

Technical landscape

(Candidates do not need all skills)

Microsoft Windows Server

Citrix

VM / Virtualisation / VMWare

Networking: Cisco switches and routers, firewalls VPNs

SCOM, Mutiny, SquaredUp

Azure Cloud

This role may suit individuals who have held the following roles: Ops Analyst, Operations Analyst, Operator, Service Analyst, Service Management Analyst, IT Support Analyst, ICT Engineer

These are hands-on roles needing a fair level of proficiency across some of the products listed. All roles are 24/7 shifts: 4 on, 4 off with alternating days/nights. Our client is based in Southampton Hampshire.
