Lead Python Developer London to £65k

Lead Python Developer (TDD GCP Cloud JavaScript). Award winning, rapidly expanding company within the camping and holiday park industry is seeking an experienced Lead Python Developer to join their talented development team. The company is currently experiencing huge growth with thousands of bookings being taken every day and over 4000 sites globally.

As a Lead Python Developer you'll oversee the design and development of features for the company's highly scalable backend system; ensuring solutions are designed and built to the highest standard. You'll be able to take ownership of products and will be involved in a number of exciting upcoming projects including replacing the existing website and migrating over to the Cloud (GCP). The company has a large focus on best practises and therefore you will be heavily involved in TDD, code reviews and pair programming.

This is a remote role, however you will be expected to attend the London based office 1 / 2 times per month, therefore you'll need to be within a commutable distance.

Requirements:

Strong Python Developer and Django skills within tech leadership / senior role

Must have a solid understanding of software development fundamentals and experience of design patterns, TDD, pair programming, clean code and code reviews

Experience with Cloud technologies (ideally GCP)

Ideally you'll be degree educated in Computer Science or similar

Need to have an awareness or willingness to understand JavaScript and front end technologies

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
