Our financial services client is currently seeking a Senior Business/Data Analyst to join their team as part of growth within the department. The Solvent Wind Down (SWD) Capability Senior Business Analyst will have business analysis responsibility for designing data processes, producing requirements through to IT and testing/implementation. The focus is primarily on data sourcing, mapping and standardisation, but also encompassing systems and process change where necessary.

The Solvent Wind Down (SWD) Capability Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for contributing to completion of the IT dependent capability and BAU operationalisation. The project impacts on multiple areas notably Finance and Risk. This role's focus is problem solving, data sourcing, data mapping and system solutions for SWD across Traded Risk, Product Control, and, in the future, ALCM.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver the Solvent Wind Down capability through close collaboration with Traded Risk, Product Control, HOST IT and ALCM stakeholders as well as the wider RAF programmeWork with stakeholders to agree capability scope, requirements and delivery priorityIdentify target business outcomes, and manage scope and solution delivery to ensure they are metEffective engagement and delivery of objectives to agreed timeframesClearly documented artefacts with required approvalsBuilding of good working relationships with the Traded Risk, Product Control, ALCM, and Global MarketsEnsure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behaviourThe role holder will join a Finance Change team that manages complex transformational and important regulatory changeThe role holder will be a point of contact between Traded Risk and both Product Control and ITThe jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technologyThis will be achieved by ensuring all actions take into account the likelihood of operational risk events, and by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate departmentThe role will implement the Operational Risk control framework and per the BRCMs - "Three Lines of Defence"

Key Requirements: Experience of working with complex and/or relational databases, including an understanding of the control environment surrounding those databasesGood knowledge of Market Risk processes and systemsFamiliarity with key Market Risk concepts (Risk sensitivities, VaR) and Global Markets products, especially derivativesFamiliarity with key Finance concepts (eg/balance sheet, mark-to-market) would be an advantageStrong analytical and data design skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse business processes, especially data and workflows and deliver required project artefacts to a high standardUses excellent verbal and written communication skills, is able to communicate effectively with all testing stakeholders and produce clear test artefactsWillingness to take a 'hands on' approach to data analysis and mappingExperience developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentationsChange Delivery experience on large and complex projectsStrong business/client engagement skillsHigh level of competence with MS OfficeAbility to work both autonomously and to contribute to a teamSelf-motivated with a proven rapid learning capability in a changing environmentDelivery focused with attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard of quality'Can do' attitude - willing to turn a hand to whatever task is required and support the teamAble to build relationships and influence others, including business heads, senior managers, third party consultants, technical experts and business usersShows willingness and potential for increasing their responsibilities within the projectSome experience and understanding of Python coding would be an advantageFinancial Services Project experience across both internal reporting and regulatory requirements, including experience of Finance and Market Risk systems and processesExperience in change management, driven by IT systems implementation or enhancement, across a large organisationExperience of working in an agile IT delivery environmentTrack record of successful deliveryDemonstrated experience of large scale project implementations involving ITExperience of working in a large, global banking organisation
