Who we are: We use digital to drive positive change. Our team of strategists and technologists help ethical organisations stand above the crowd with meaningful digital experiences. We design and execute innovative digital strategies and help ethical organisations operate more efficiently so their message can be heard. Using our extensive technical expertise, we create only the most effective digital platforms and experiences. We deliver organisations the growth and the visibility they need. As one of the UK's leading Python agencies, we'll take your challenge and find a better way; a more streamlined process, a solution that directly impacts your end goal. From consultancy and basic website design, through to complex infrastructure planning and application development, we challenge conventions to provide solutions that are tailored to your user's needs. The Junior Python DevOps Engineer Opportunity: We're looking for an established Python DevOps Engineer who understands the value of doing things the right way, not the quick way. In your role, which reports to the Technical Director, you'll be working alongside our delivery teams in Europe and Latin America to maintain our existing software and systems, and help to manage our infrastructure; you will need to be a strong communicator in a technical environment. This role is 100% remote, but you'll be encouraged to attend periodic meetups with your team for ‘lunch and learn', our internal knowledge sharing lunches. You'll be provided with brand new, state-of-the-art hardware including a laptop, a headset, and a monitor. About You: You will already have commercial development experience, coupled with a strong grasp of the internet and how it works; not just user-facing applications, but the underlying infrastructure. You should be comfortable with Nginx, Docker, the DNS system, and have a working understanding of encryption on the web. You should have a solid understanding of Python, as well as experience with Django and Python dependency management with pip and/or Poetry. You should have knowledge of modern PaaS (for example Dokku, Heroku or Elastic Beanstalk). AWS experience would be an advantage. Benefits: + 22 days per year paid holiday allowance, and two extra wellbeing days per year. We also close entirely between Christmas and New Year.
+ You get your own book, magazine subscription and laptop budget.
+ Private healthcare via a company-wide scheme for you and your dependants.
+ Generous benefit scheme administered by Perkbox, including cinema tickets, gym membership (subject to probationary period).
+ We develop a personal training plan for each employee, and we support all our staff by providing training, conference tickets, and a work environment which encourages best practices and continual improvement. We are committed to supporting the rights, responsibilities, dignity, health and wellbeing of staff through our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. We promote applications from all sections of the community, irrespective of background, belief, or identity, recognising the benefits that a diverse organisation brings. We particularly encourage applications from groups we know are under-represented in our field, such as Women, LGBTQ+, Disabled, Black and Minority Ethnic candidates. For applicants with disabilities, we can offer reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please outline any additional requirements alongside your application. Interested?
