The Challenge
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Portfolio Manager to develop and mature our Portfolio Management Office in Data, Analytics & Insight (DA&I). Reporting to the Head of Customer Engagement, you will foster a collaborative working environment operating alongside our value stream leads to ensure the successful completion of all our projects and tasks and that the appropriate resource is in place. You will promote positive management disciplines in our team, holding value stream leads to account, ensuring stated benefits are provided to our key stakeholders to meet their expectations.
We employ approximately 4,900 staff from a very diverse range of professions, and we work across the world; in Germany, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands, Norway, Poland, Kenya, Belize, Nepal and Oman.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and prioritisation all DA&I Tasks and Sprints, developing a Programme of Work to effectively scope, schedule and monitor DA&I activities.
Effectively engage with members to articulate and assess the feasibility and prioritisation of tasks.
Regularly report and provide assurance to the Head of DA&I, advising on progress against the Programme of Work, identifying threats and opportunities to ensure successful outcomes and building on our positive reputation.
Prepare and maintain the overall schedule of resource to avoid bottlenecks and conflicting demands, sequencing outcomes to ensure effective delivery.
Lead and advocate the Agile methodology ensuring benefits are cascaded and the approach is understood across our customer base.
Work to continuously improve on performance, regularly reviewing and identifying areas for improvement and highlighting capability and knowledge gaps
Direct and deliver process definitions to improve performance and introduce mechanisms to measure benefits, building on successful outcomes to enhance our performance on a continuous basis.
