My client are one of the UK's leading equipment hire businesses, looking for an Database Administrator to join their expanding teamClient DetailsMy client are one of the UK's leading equipment hire businessesDescriptionDefine and set out a dated series of value add, operational, performance and availability activitiesMeasure and report the value add of the role has in operational termsIntegration of data from multiple sourcesProject lead, be involved, manage and support data migrations with external partnersTo maintain and support data gathering and assimilation from applications, services and projectsEnsure performance, security, and availability of the databaseHandle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.Database design and implementationUse exiting or develop new protocols for data processingProfileMinimum of 3 year's proven experience working with SQL AdministrationSQL Reporting Services, Always On, migrations and upgradesMS Windows Clustering and ServerVMware/VirtualisationPowerShell scriptingSecurity, backup and recovery technologiesAbility to prioritise effectively and execute tasks in an operational application and technical environmentAble to work both independently and collaboratively with the wider IT Team and internal stakeholdersA strong understanding of business process and the practical constraints in implementing security policiesEffective communicator with the ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholdersFully hands-on and comfortable in doing soAccurate and thorough with the ability to deliver a professional product to a high standard in line with business needs Job OfferSalary paying up to £43,000Generous benefits packageContributory pension Staff social fund (money for team building exercises, paid team nights out)Health & Wellness (annual flu jab, free eyesight tests and subsidised gym membership for Glasgow Marriott)Flexible working environment
