Product Programme Manager - Retail - 3 monthsThe location of the role is London (hybrid remote working).The pay rate on offer is open.The client is a large, multinational high-street retailer.Job purpose Lead and manage the end to end Product Activity Plan for the client's Food Business. Programme manage, plan and govern all product activity for all functions including design, packaging and product development. Lead the project management and planning teams to ensure on time, efficient and successful deliver of all product activity Key accountabilities and measuresFoods Product PlanLead, own and maintain the overall Product Activity Plan for the Food Business (our forward plan of all planned product development work and other significant product change activity)Run the annual process for developing and signing off the Product Activity Plan, ensuring we develop a plan that delivers on our strategic priorities, maximises customer benefit, optimises financial returns and that aligns to our capacity to deliverLine manage the project management and product activity planning teamsEnsure all stakeholders understand the processes for agreeing the Product Activity Plan and provide the right quality and completeness of inputs to the process at the right timeDevelop tools and processes to model high level capacity impacts of product activity on internal teams, and ensure the plan aligns with available resources. Review capacity impacts on an ongoing basis with the central planning team as detailed critical path timescales are added to ensure the plan remains deliverableCommunicate out the plan to all relevant stakeholders and work with the Central Planning team, who oversee delivery of the plan, to put in place the appropriate mechanisms to ensure the plan is "locked down" and tracked and monitored againstWork with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment of the Plan, SRD Plan, Trade Plan & Marketing PlanRun the ongoing processes for governing the Plan and agreeing any changes to it throughout the year. Product Team SupportAct as the Programme Lead for the "Create Loved Products" strategic plan - including maintaining, tracking & reporting on plan delivery and KPI performance; managing risks & issues; managing interdependencies with other programmes etcCreate reports & communications to keep stakeholders informed of the plan and progressOwn the tracking of NPD KPIs and other agreed Product performance metrics. Work with the Product Director and team on reviewing any issues with performance and agreeing action plans to resolveLead the delivery of ad hoc projects for the Product team (e.g. implementation of new tools / ways of working)Work with the Heads of Product to drive continuous improvement in Product Team processes and ways of workingRole model the business' behaviours at all times, and work to embed these both within your team and across the wider businessKey skills Programme management within a product/product development function within retail / food retail / FMCG is preferredAbility to analyse and interpret dataAbility to demonstrate strategic thinking and commercial acumenStrong planning and project management skillsHighly organisedAdvanced stakeholder engagement & influencing skillsStrong communication skills - both written and verbalAbility to work under pressure and deal with rapidly changing prioritiesSelf-starter and able to work independentlyMicrosoft applications including - Word / PowerPoint / Excel etc.
