They are using cutting-edge tech to build exciting applications to enable colleagues to be fully productive and collaborative.About the role:You'll own the design and development of large-scale high performance services using Java (8+) with tools and frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate and Maven. This includes websites, apps, microservices and event driven architectureYou'll contribute to our product technical roadmapYou'll work with cloud and container technologies such as Kubernetes on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud PlatformYou'll lead the design and support of services and internal frameworks that enhance Sainsbury's Group capabilitiesEngineering throughout the whole product lifecycle, including decommissioningYou'll consider the cost and service support implications of your engineering choicesAbout you:Possess programming language expertise in one or more languages in our ecosystem, such as reactjs, swift/ios, android, kotlin, java/springboot, golangExpertise in engineering practice, including knowledge of engineering and architectural principlesProven experience of software design and implementation, security, cloud, infrastructure as code and CI/CD and any relevant hardwareSelf-drive and constantly striving to improve your team, division and peersDrive for advocacy of agile/lean delivery methodologiesA passion for delivering solutions to customers, owning the whole SDLC and living the DevSecOps principlesA passion for enhancing your knowledge and evidence curiosity in emerging techDisplay empathy and understanding in supporting colleagues in the team to deliverWhat you'll get:In depth training and healthy career progression.Colleague discount across all their brands.Holiday allowanceBonus SchemePension planIf this is something that excites you and you are eager to know more, please get in touch!
