Rate: £500 - £550 per day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 Months
Premier Group have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Infrastructure engineer to join a leading organisation based in the Leicester area on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal Infrastructure engineer will be able to manage and assist in the implementation of platform monitoring systems.
The successful Infrastructure Engineer will join a team of professionals and have a strong knowledge and understanding of Networking and Infrastructure as well as experience with PowerShell scripting.
Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure Engineer
To manage computing, network, and storage infrastructureTo ensure smooth shutdown of legacy on-prem datacentresMinimisation of datacentre footprint during the shutdown, to minimise operational risks and maximise uptimeDesign, delivery, automation, operation and management of platform storage systems and capacity planningDeveloping and executing platform patching methodologies and operational processesDesign, implementation, and operation of platform monitoring systemsManaging data security on the network via access control and encryption schemes.Design, management, and automation of Active Directory

PowerShell scriptingWindows DSCVeeam backupsSAN fabrics and storageHyper-V VirtualisationMicrosoft platforms including Windows Server 2012/2016, IISActive Directory / Office 365Enterprise server estates including Blade systems and high-density serversEnterprise networking including CiscoLoad balancing techniques and appliancesBackup and recovery methodologies
