Role- Space Project manager Salary- £40,000 - 60,000 per annum dependent on experience Type- Permanent Must have the right to work in the UK Location - Oxfordshire My client works in the Electronics Manufacturing /Space Sector. The Space Project manager will ideally have the following skills:Delivering a variety of projects on time and on budget to customer requirementsManaging projects from bid through to executionEnsuring company quality processes are followedLiaise with customer to maintain effective relationshipsWorking with a dynamic team to produce innovative solutionsPreparing documentation including proposals, project management plans, change noticesMaintaining hands-on control of the program through a process of regular program reviews, design reviews and audits, staff meetings and other program meetingsIdentifying and managing program risks and opportunities including prioritization, mitigation, escalation, and resolutionSupport to proposal and business development activitiesThe Space Project Manager role will involve:
Experience managing technical projectsDirect experience in design and development of space flight hardware and/or softwareExcellent written and oral communicationFamiliarity with project lifecycle from bid through execution and close downFamiliarity with MS Project or other scheduling toolsEnthusiastic about space explorationAbility to motivate peopleAbility to cope with significant workload peaksSelf- motivated and able to take initiativeUniversity degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or equivalentAbility to travel as requiredIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
