As IT Infrastructure Engineer you will join a global group IT Function. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting, managing, and implementing all aspects of IT technical services focusing on server and networking infrastructure globally. Client DetailsMichael Page Technology are delighted to be partnered with a global leading manufacturing organisation who focus on zero emission technologies and manufacturing.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing:As IT Infrastructure Engineer you will join a global group IT Function. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting, managing, and implementing all aspects of IT technical services focusing on server and networking infrastructure globally. This role will predominantly be based at home, with occasional attendance to site required. (1 day per month average)Responsibilities:You will be responsible for supporting, managing, and implementing all aspects of IT technical services focusing on server and networking infrastructure globally.You will manage all Infrastructure hardware within the scope of the Infrastructure role including connectivity to network devices where hardware requires connectivity.Part of the team to manage the DR solution for full recovery in the event of a failure.Plan, manage and deliver small to medium projects and deliver to acceptable quality standards.Actively manage 3rd partner suppliers who manage our networking infrastructure which includes day-to-day and project work.Deliver Systems Architecture Design and implement to support the business requirements and future developments (as far as they can be seen).Manage Major incidents from an IT infrastructure perspective to return services to users in the least amount of time using most effective methodology.Provide support for systems out of the normal site working hours on a rota and when necessary when skillset is required to support issues needing resolution.Review escalated tasks in the IT Service Desk - manage, allocate and resolve either personally, by others, in supporting others or engaging / managing 3rd part external support teams.ProfileKey Skills & Responsibilities:To be successful, you will have demonstrable experience of technical understanding within a MS Windows technical environment.Experienced in managing and implementing Microsoft Solution Architecture including MS Server 2016/2019, Hyper-V, MS Exchange and administration of Office365 services.Experience in implementing and managing cloud services with production environments, specifically Azure and AWS.Experience of OS/Application patching and the management and monitoring of IT Security solutions.You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to independently build relationships across the business.You will have had experience of working within a busy technical team within a global business.Exposure to managing and supporting major incidents within the infrastructure environment.Exposure to a full ITIL environment for day-to-day operations.Experience of implementing and configuring networking switches and data cabling would be desirable.You will be flexible, with the ability to work on different solutions at any one time and take a methodical approach to problem solving.Job OfferSalary:£40,000 - £42,000 per annumBenefits:Half day on Fridays
