About the role

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is driving a period of dynamic digital change and growth. As our Mid-weight Software Developer you'll work with the existing agile development team to deliver on our high-demand website and other products backlog as well as develop full new functionalities and features into production.

You'll play a key part in evolving Sitecore 8.2 into Sitecore 10 architecture and build robust integrations, collaborating closely with UX/UI, front-end, business analysts and testers as well as remote developers in scoping, designing and delivering effective and robust code for functionalities that meet customer needs.    You'll also support front-end development on digital products and systems which together process £40million transactions a year - vital to the BHF's work leading heart health research.   Please note we are advertising this role as a Software Developer. Internally this role will be known as a Mid-weight Back End Developer. 

About you

With a degree in Computing, Technology or equivalent training and industry experience, you'll have knowledge of Microsoft ASP .NET MVC technologies, MS SQL, Mongo DB and MVC framework as well as knowledge of Microsoft .Net Core and Javascript, Jquery and related frameworks.

You'll have extensive experience of back-end developing on Microsoft .NET tech stack for high demand online products, platforms and experiences and a deep experience coding robust, responsive, mobile-first feature-led sites and online products code.

You'll also have experience and vision defining first class customer experiences online matched by previous experience developing interfaces and integrations between high-demand business systems and applications.

With excellent communication and problem solving skills you'll also have the following:
 A first class development mind able to effectively articulate, collaborate and deliver complex concepts
 An excellent team player able to build strong working relationships with delivery teams including Business Analysts, Product Owners, UX/UI, Developers 
 A strong, balanced and resourceful back-end developer skillset with a passion for developing inspiring online products and world-class user experiences

Interview process

The interview process will be held over MS Teams.
 
The BHF is currently following Government guidelines regarding working from home. Although the role is based in London, the expectation is that once restrictions are eased, we will follow a blended approach between office and home working.
