My client - a fantastic digital education solutions provider in the Education and Training Industry are looking for a Data Quality Manager to join their organisation based in Oxfordshire for a hybrid role of home working and occasional travel.Client DetailsMy client is a fantastic digital education solutions provider in the non-profit sector and Education and Training Industry. DescriptionThe successful candidate for the Data Quality Manager role at my client's site in Oxfordshire will fulfil the following responsibilities -Responsible for leading work with external bodies, such as the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), and the internal Data Management and Governance Team, to define and implement data quality standards and structures that address integrity, completeness, validity, uniqueness, accuracy, and consistency in our data. Where standards are missing or incomplete, to develop workable solutions.Responsible for establishing data governance principles that address accountability, transparency, data protection, and compliance.Responsible for defining data standards, policies and procedures and clearly communicating them to Data Analytics colleagues, the wider organisation, our customers, and other external bodies such as HESA.Lead our work on data catalogue creation, data estate expansion, maintenance and metadata management.Lead and contribute to the development of data governance policies and practices within Data Analytics and the wider organisation.Lead our work to establish processes to regularly review and audit data quality.Responsible for ensuring how we capture, process, share, recycle and dispose of data complies with data protection and information security obligations.Responsible for identifying, reviewing and escalating data quality risks in line with the organisations risk management approach.Responsible for ensuring we have a thorough understanding of the data we hold and the legal framework in which we process it as a directorate. Assisting colleagues to agree how data is processed with third party organisations including discussions with Data Protection and Legal colleagues to make sure any processing of data is proportionate and legal.In the event that a data breach or unauthorized release of data occurs, support Data Analytics staff and colleagues in the data protection and information security teams to investigate the issue and identify lessons learned to help improve working practices and implement preventative maintenance and mitigation measures to minimise the likelihood of similar incidents happening in the future.ProfileTo be considered for the Data Quality Manager role the candidate must present evidence of the following -Proven and successful track record of data quality management spanning internal and customer-facing activitiesA track record of working with different stakeholders and customers to ensure high quality data is available to support data driven decision-makingDemonstrable track record of monitoring and reporting on data quality across an organisation;A track record of working with the collection, manipulation and analysis of large/ enterprise scale database systems, structured data collections and/ or big data (in a live and/ or historical data warehouse scenario)A track record of working in a data quality setting at a university, higher education sector body, or other public sector organisation will be an advantageThe organisation will happily consider someone making a step up for this role.Job OfferThe basic salary for this role is between £32,00 and £36,000 + fantastic benefits.
