My client is looking for an External Affairs Officer to assist on a major programme Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

* Build trusted relationships with of a portfolio of stakeholders by listening and developing advocacy for targeted issues or campaigns.

* Help with the delivery of targeted communication and information through developed networks.

* Draft and collate reports which analyse data and measure stakeholder satisfaction, sentiment, and key influencer scope.

* Support the development and delivery of corporate engagement events, arranging delivery schedules and associated bookings.

* Facilitate issue-based engagement meetings for colleagues.

* Advise your colleagues of issues and/or risks to corporate stakeholder relationships as soon as they arise.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Experience in a role delivering stakeholder relationship management, providing support and organising stakeholder events.

* Good project management skills.

* Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to effectively assess stakeholder influence and sentiment using analytical tools and techniques.

* Good understanding of how alliances with partners can be formed and benefits can be delivered.

* Some understanding of how government operates at the parliamentary and ministerial department level.

* Excellent time management skills, creating own work schedules, prioritising, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales for self and others.

* Outstanding personal leadership, able to advise at all levels of the organisation with confidence and credibility.

* Ability to listen effectively both to critics to feedback corporate intelligence and to supporters to develop advocacy.

* Awareness of the main stakeholder channels (digital / social) for listening and communicating.

Pay £160pd - £180pd inside IR35
