Lead Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer London / WfH to £90k
Lead Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer *Remote Interview WFH*. Would you like to progress your career to a leadership position and remain hands-on with technology? You could be taking a lead role amongst a small team of engineers working on a ground breaking search technology using the latest technologies.
As a Lead Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer you will remain hands-on, designing and developing new features, enhancements and components on the core product, there's a lot of new Greenfield development projects as well as optimisation and scalability work.
As a senior member of the team you'll take a lead on projects and provide mentoring; you will work with other engineers to remove pain points, optimise workflows and enhance the intelligence and capabilities of the system, taking technical ownership and working with Product Owners and Marketing to flesh out business requirements and ensure that the team is solving the right problems to help the business.
Driven by technology this company can offer a remote interview / onboarding process and 100% work from home during the current social distancing measures, with as much as four days a week work from home going forward (or you could join colleagues in the London, City office depending on your preference).
Requirements:
Strong backend core Java development experience; Python, Ruby also desirable
Technical leadership / mentoring experience
Keen to work with new and emerging technology such as Kotlin on AWS
Collaborative nature, keen to learn and share knowledge with others
Business acumen / entrepreneurial
Degree educated, Computer Science preferred
