Finance Planning and Analysis Manager

London based - flexible

12 month contract

Up to £650 per day (dependent upon experience)

Our client is currently searching for a Finance Planning and Analysis Manager to join their ever growing team at their London location.

The role is in our global Finance and Procurement transformation programme. It will focus on the replacement of our main contract accounting reporting tools in the UK. It will work with data architects and technology and business SMEs with a focus on standardisation for contract Accounting and R2R reporting in BT's finance transformation. The role-holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary core team (process, data, org design, systems, change and communications) which is implementing a simplified and standardised landscape across the Group Finance function.

The role is important because the programme will replace the UK projects ledger and its associated reporting which is a large part of our old Finance systems across the BT Group. This transformation includes the implementation of an SAP/Hana platform, including BPC and BW. The replacement of the UK projects subledgers and reporting tools that host customer contract accounting reporting and gather data from other sources, gives an opportunity for standardisation. In order to move from our old systems to new, we need to ensure we have a standard approach to contract accounting and reporting, whilst meeting our commercial and regulatory requirements in our new systems and reports.

The role involves:Understanding existing technologies and how requirements have translated into solutions for contract accounting.Working with the programme to understand our critical requirements to standardise, and to deliver in the new BT toolsets.Collaborating with GPO, process teams, data architects and technical SMEs and the business to define contract accounting data and reporting requirements and deliver these.Working with third party organisations to deliver the new solution itself and with the the BT business and programme to ensure the requirements designed built and tested are aligned to BT expectations.Driving for completeness in a complex area of BT and decommission the existing toolsets

You need to have strong leadership, project delivery, communication and organisational skills:Experience in a multinational business supporting finance toolsets with a business lens.Track record of system replacements.Able to problem solve and bring people together on complex problems.Validate requirement criticality.Able to promote and deliver transformation and standardisastion in complex environments.

Experience required:Project management experience.Experience of decision point analyticsReporting support experience in a large complex/multinational organisation.Ability to form options for data and reporting design.

Preferred:SAP HANA exposure
