My client is looking for a Contract Accounting Data Architect (Reporting) for an initial 12 month contract with the potential to extend.

This role is inside of IR35.

The role will work as part of a process tower in our global Finance and Procurement transformation programme. The role holder will be the data architect focussing on the contract accounting and billing aspects of BT's finance transformation. It will work as part of a multidisciplinary core team (process, data, org design, systems, change and communications) which is implementing a simplified and standardised landscape across the Group Finance function.

The role is important because the programme replaces a large part of our old Finance systems across the BT Group. This transformation includes the implementation of a SAPS4 platform, and the replacement of some legacy platforms that host contract accounting reporting and have interfaces from others. In order to move from our old systems to new, we need to ensure we have a standard approach to contract accounting and reporting, and to ensure the data we require to be in S4, is properly interfaced and managed into new systems and reports.

The scope of the role is to manage the contract accounting data architecture for the programme, engaging with the business, technical and shared services team in line with the overall Core UK delivery plans, to ensure our data and reporting requirements are understood and delivered alongside the broader transformation. It is especially important to team up with the Contract Accounting process teams - as one of the biggest collaboration partners for the data architect.

Alongside the regular tools of running a programme team such as, progress meetings, stand-ups, logs, RAID, forecasts, reporting, resources and measures/KPIs, you will have critical engagements with the BT business stakeholders to deliver a standardised contract accounting approach underpinned by our systems, data and processes in a complex environment.

There will be a need to bring people together to find solutions to problems and work to tight timelines. Prior experience in an international business with strong contract accounting reporting and data experience is a must.

You will be part of a small team and will need to develop business partnerships with our Group Business Services team and a network of contract accounting SMEs in the business to ensure delivery is the priority, and to drive standardisation where possible. It is important that you have a hands-on mindset to get things done and find solutions to problems - your job is to make sure that the contract accounting processes and reporting are supported by the relevant data from legacy system to the new SAP systems.

You'll need to be able to think ahead, pre-empt requirements for key meetings, and drive the preparation for these.

What you'll be doing:

The successful candidate will:

*Understand Contract accounting data and reporting needs and engage the business to deliver these in the BT toolset.

*Work with the GPO, process teams and the business to define contract accounting data and reporting requirements and deliver these.

*Work with third party organisations to deliver the solution itself, the BT business and programme to ensure the requirements designed, built and tested aligned to BT expectations.

*Drive for completeness in a complex area of BT.

Skills Required:

You need to have strong leadership, project delivery, communication, and organisational skills:

*Able to provide and implement solutions to problems

*Bring people together to resolve complex problems.

*Able to gather and assimilate data flows from multiple platforms.

*Validate requirement criticality.

*Able to promote and deliver transformation and standardisation in complex environments.

*Finance data conversion experience (systems and process), Enterprise scale, ideally SAP/HANA.

*Excellent communication skills, constructively engaging with team and business (written and verbal).

*Management of Microsoft Project plans, use of excel, production of PPT slide presentations, reports.

*Qualified accountant with international contract management experience.

*Experience of SAP BW and interfaces from legacy systems

Desirable but not essential:

*Project management experience.

*Oracle BW experience.

Experience Required:

MANDATORY

*Contract accounting standardisation experience in a large complex/multinational organisation.

*Ability to form options for data and reporting design.

Preferred

*SAP HANA exposure.
